The peninsula (“Ilha dos Penedos”) is situated in the extreme south of the estate of Bahia, near the Abrolhos National Park – for further reference and a general idea of the location and surroundings:

It’s a 10 minutes small boat ride from the main land; has a total area of 460 hectares, with 256 hectares
legalized and titled; the remaining area consists of mangrove and preserved areas.

The current owner purchased the area with the intention to develop an eco resort, but had a change of plans
(today only being used as private residence and small farm/fazenda). The area is very well suited for the
development of a ecologic or touristic project (eco-pousada, resort) and it is a gateway into the Abrolhos
National Parque, e breath-taking region with natural riches and beautiful landscapes. It offers privacy and
security at the same time. Further potential uses are as investment for pension funds, as fazenda (agriculture)
or in the medicinal area, for example as rehab clinic).
Caravelas, the nearby town, despite its small size, is very well developed and offers all different amenities and
institutions, including an airport and a seaport. It was originally a Naval Base for the Brazilian Air Force. In
2010 it was revitalized and the administration transferred to Bahia state. The airport is being developed as
future regional transit hub.
